The Black Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art & Discourse ‘22 has a new satellite: BRAZANI.berlin presents the exhibition POLITICAL POETRY POWER in the anti-colonial project and exhibition space SPREEUFER opposite the Humboldt Forum. It pays tribute to the literary heritage of authors such as Fasia Jansen, Gaston Bart-Williams and Ika Hügel- Marshall and presents poems by writers and thinkers working in Berlin on the border of a place that is significantly marked by white dominance, the new Kaiserschloss. There, on 16 September 2022, the Humboldt Forum will open its colonial ethnographic show on Africa and the so-called Americas. BARAZANI.berlin invites you to listen to the words of those who imagine a decolonial and peaceful society, who work for empowerment and healing, speak, sing, and raise their voices.
With contributions by black hyperion aka sun leegba love aka michael küppers-adebisi, Elsa M’bala, hn. lyonga, Lahya Aukongo, Steve Mekoudja, Trovania (aka T R V Λ N I Λ) and Wan wo Layir.
